Jacob Wright is pursuing a Biomedical Sciences degree at Texas A&M University with the aim of becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon and hopes to better the lives of individuals inclusive of athletes to return to their full potential. Jacob, who is humbled to have graduated Valedictorian, and was named a National AP Scholar and National Hispanic Scholar has been able to pursue his passion for service and helping others as President of the National Honor Society, Cinematography Club, as Captain of the EPHS Varsity Tennis Team, with Our Lady of Refuge Church Youth Group and plans to continue to do so with various clubs and organizations at Texas A&M University. Jacob is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys tennis, hunting, fishing, biking, and spending time at his local swimming pool as a lifeguard. During the REU he will be working with Dr. Kim on the project Development of Multifunctional Catalysts Toward Chemical Diversification of Antibiotics.
